Purpose
The NorthWest Civic Association of Hicksville was founded in 1951 to unite the northwest section of Hicksville, for the mutual welfare, civic, social and educational advancements and to work for the general betterment of this community.

The Northwest Region
The civic association represents the residents in the area served by the Burns Avenue Elementary School. It is bounded on the south by the Long Island Railroad, on the west by the North Hempstead-Oyster Bay town line, on the north by the Northern State Parkway, an east-west line through the center of 16th Street and on the east by the center of Broadway (Route 107).

Meetings
Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of the month at the William Bennett Community Center in Hicksville (also known as the Hicksville Community Center). It is located at 28 W. Carl St. off Route 107 behind the old Chroma Paint. The meetings begin at 7:30pm and are open to members of NWCAH and invited guests. We meet September to June, except in months that close the building due to holidays.
